Laudatio to Annie Sprinkle:
She is a feminine sex guru, porn star, sex worker, author, performance and transformation artist, and now an ecosexual as well. She invented post modern porn and heart porn, to sum up her entrance into pornography. Like no other artist, she encourages one to live out fantasies, to love sexuality, and to just “let one's own films play”. Her unforgettable shows allowed many their first illuminating look into femininity; Annie shows her “cervix” – the fire-breathing priestess, who has an orgasm on stage.
She has numerous instructional films – often with friend and Erospirit founder Joseph Kramer: the female genital massage, Zen Pussy, a Meditation with 11 Cunts, Sluts and Goddesses – for women or “orgasms” including megagasm, crygasm or medibation, a mixture of meditation and masturbation. As a feminist porn star, she knows no borders and no age, body, or gender barriers. Thus she made the first trans porn, which led to the genre Porn Documentaries.
Currently she is performing the tantric Chakras Weddings with her wife Elizabeth Stevens and Mother Earth, to which all are invited. As always, strictly feminist: the private is political.
